Some of our players can't get enough golf.  There is a league called the Travelers league as well as a couple of groups that get together and play off-base courses in the Tampa Bay area.

Saturday Golf Group (SGG) - Saturdays

The SGG league (aka Travelers League) plays a diffrent course in the Tampa Bay area each Saturday.  This league is a competitive league and uses your USGA handicap.  Your handicap must be current.  Pat Cullina is the current organizer and does a fantastic job.  There are usually 20 to 30 players each Saturday and is comprised of players from the Mens Golf Association League as well as off-base players.  There are many ways of winning including gross, net gross, skins and birdies.  The buy-in pool is $15 and you're responsible for paying your own green/cart fees.  They usually get discounted rates due to the number of tee times required.  Click here to go the "Forum" page and click the "Saturday Golf Group" category.

This a fun group and is usually organized by Jerry Shotts.  Jerry is the current Mens Association League president and one of the founders of the Mens Golf Association League from wwwaaayyy back in the early 70's.  This is NOT a money pool game but occasionally there will be side bets among players.  It just depends who is playing.  Jerry sends out an email NLT Thursdays where he has made reservations and tee times.  You are responsible for your own green/cart fees.  Jerry tries to get better rates but he does encourage using your Florida Paradise Card for guaranteed discounts.  Most courses also offer military discounts.  Click here to go the "Forum" page and click the "Jerry's Monday Fun Golf" category.

This is another fun group on Thursdays that plays different courses in the Tampa Bay area.
